The UFC 207 return for former bantamweight queen Ronda Rousey didn’t go as she’d hoped this past Friday night in Las Vegas. Rousey was looking to regain the 135lb title after being knocked out by Holly Holm at UFC 193 last November, but the current champion Amanda Nunes had other plans. It took Nunes only 48 seconds to finish off Rousey, who looked to be in fantastic shape coming into her comeback fight.
Ronda was devastated after the loss and has kept the same approach of staying quiet with the media, but UFC President Dana White toldESPN he spent a good bit of time consoling her after UFC 207.
“I must have tears, blood and boogers all over my f***ing jacket. I went in there and hugged her for 45 minutes. I told her, ‘I love you so much, and whatever you want to do next, I got your back. You built this. This doesn’t exist without you. You’re the best decision I ever made.’”
